Manitoba Museum Adding to ‘Pirates’ Exhibit

The Manitoba Museum is adding on to its Real Pirates: The Untold Story exhibit with new activities beginning Saturday.

The museum’s Festival Hall will be transformed into Buccaneer Bay every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Buccaneer Bay will feature family-friendly activities, crafts and pirate dress up for photos. Admission to the bay is free.

Tours of Real Pirates will now be offered on weekdays (Tuesday to Friday at 2 p.m. in English and at 2:15 p.m. in French). These tours started on Tuesday, February 17. The tour is included with admission to the exhibit.

Tuesday and Wednesday visits to the exhibit remain at half price.

The touring exhibition, organized by National Geographic and Premier Exhibitions Inc., is on until April 19, 2015.
