A 59-year-old man was seriously assaulted after a fight broke out early Saturday morning.
Winnipeg police were called to the 700 block of Pritchard Avenue at around 12:20 a.m. for an altercation involving two males. The verbal argument escalated into a physical confrontation when one of the men was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been made and the major crimes unit is investigating.
