Winnipeg retailers will begin encouraging customers to make a donation to SMD Foundation/Easter Seals Manitoba this month.
The annual Paper Egg campaign begins March 9 and runs to April 5, funding the awareness and fundraising project of Easter Seals Canada.
“It’s as easy as saying ‘yes’ to the cashier when they ask if you’d like to purchase a Paper Egg,” said Tricialynn Morgan, fund development manager with SMD Foundation/Easter Seals Manitoba.
“It’s a fun way to support a great cause. For only $2.00, you can make a big impact on the lives of children, youth and adults with disabilities in Manitoba.”
Participating retailers include The Bargain Shop, Red Apple, Booster Juice, Dollar Wise, Mac’s Convenience Stores, Smitty’s, TSC Stores, Midas, Knight Archer Insurance, Second Cup, Little Caesars, Chicken Chef, Food Fare, Peavey Mart, Canad Inns, Aaltos, Garbonzo’s and Denny’s.
Proceeds raised stay in Manitoba and will go to support vital programs and services that reach more than 47,000 children, youth and adults with disabilities in Manitoba.
