Death of Teen on Manitoba First Nation a Homicide: RCMP

RCMP Crest LogoThe death of a 14-year-old Manitoba boy from Roseau River First Nation is being treated as a homicide.

Police were called to the report of a possibly deceased person outside of the Ginew School in Roseau River on Sunday at around 1 p.m.

An autopsy was conducted in Winnipeg on Monday, but the cause of death isn’t being released at this time.

No arrests have been made and RCMP “D” Division Serious Crime Unit and the RCMP Winnipeg Major Crime Unit are assisting in the investigation.
