Winnipeg Police Seek Suspicious Man Who Grabbed Girl

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police are looking for a man they say chased and grabbed a 12-year-old girl on Thursday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Dufferin Avenue and Robinson Street at around 8:30 p.m. where they say a suspicious man had been watching the girl play with her friends.

The suspect was sitting in a vehicle at the time and got out to chase the girl when she attempted to run away. She was able to break free after a brief struggle and wasn’t injured.

The man returned to his vehicle and took off.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 30-years-old, taller height, average build, brown facial hair, wearing a brown jacket, grey hat, dark pants, with a ring on his pinkie finger.

Police say the vehicle he was driving was a dirty red pickup truck with a grey/white stripe on the side and a tinted rear window.
