Winnipeg Collective Throwing ‘Hot & Dirty Dance Party’

Hot & Dirty Dance PartyTwo Winnipeg bands are joining forces to create a 14-piece funk collective at the West End Cultural Centre.

The Dirty Catfish Brass Band and Dr. Hot Bottom will present the first “Hot & Dirty Dance Party” on Thursday, April 16.

Performing some classic hits from Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, the seven-piece horn and rhythm section — with two drummers — will put on a thrilling set for their local fans.

Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 in advance through the WECC, Ticketfly, Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and Music Trader. Showtime is 8 p.m.
