Winnipeg police have made two arrests in connection to two robberies in the past month.
A convenience store in the 500 block of London Street was robbed of cash and cigarettes on February 16. The two suspects were able to make a clean getaway.
On Monday at around 3 p.m., two suspects entered a store in the 600 block of Kildare Avenue East. One of the suspects waited outside while the other concealed his identity inside. He was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money after arming himself with a pellet gun.
The 40-year-old male victim was able to track one of the suspects to the area of Wayoata Street and Ravelston Avenue East. An off-duty corrections officers helped to take him into custody until police arrived.
The second suspect was found in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue East.
Miles Victor Payjack, 18, has been charged with a number of offences. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested and faces charges of armed robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
Police are continuing to investigate.
