Teens Charged After Pellet Gun Fired in St. Vital

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo 16-year-old boys are facing charges after Winnipeg police say they shot a pellet gun at children playing soccer in St. Vital on Wednesday.

Police were called to the 100 block of Beliveau Road at around 6:40 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Officers were led to an upper suite of an apartment complex, where police say the teens fired several rounds of a Crosman BB gun at children playing nearby.

No one was struck or injured in the incident.

The gun was seized and the teens are facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and discharging an air gun or pistol with intent.

Both were released on a promise to appear.
