WAG Seeking a Few Good Volunteers for Upcoming Exhibit

Winnipeg Art GalleryCalling on volunteers — and you know Winnipeg has more than a few.

The Winnipeg Art Gallery has posted opportunities for volunteers to lend a hand during the WAG’s new exhibit — “Olympus: The Greco-Roman Collections of Berlin” — opening on April 26.

“Volunteers are instrumental to the success of our events and education programs,” said Rachel Baerg, WAG head of education. “The WAG could not run the plethora of events, high quality school tours and learning experiences that we do without their support.”

An information night on March 20 will explore the available openings for volunteers, whether it be leading educational tours, curatorial assistance and research, tickets sales, ushering, event set-up/clean-up, or maintaining the Clara Lander Library collection. Those interested are asked to e-mail volunteer@wag.ca to secure a spot. The session will run from 6-8 p.m. in the WAG Lecture Hall.

Further details are available at WAG.ca.
