Manitoba Opera Running a Trial Park and Ride

Turandot - Manitoba OperaThe Manitoba Opera is trying out a new pilot project to shuttle opera-goers to and from their new performance of Turandot.

The Opera Park and Ride will take visitors to all three performances April 18, 21 and 24 from two separate route locations.

A 47-seat Beaver Bus Lines vehicle will make pick-ups and drop-offs at the front entrance of the Centennial Concert Hall.

Tickets are $15 each per person for a round trip and must be purchased in advance. A minimum of 31 patrons is required on each bus.

Route 1 pick-up locations:

  • Unicity Mall Walmart, 3655 Portage Ave.
  • Grant Park Shopping Centre
  • “Confusion Corner” Grant/Osborne/Pembina Intersection

Route 2 pick-up locations:

  • Real Canadian Superstore, 80 Bison Dr.
  • St.Vital Centennial Arena, 580 St. Anne’s Rd.
  • Safeway, 2 Alpine Ave.
  • Immanuel Fellowship Centre, 479 St. Mary’s Rd.
