Manitoba Technology AcceleratorWINNIPEG — The Manitoba government is funnelling an additional $600,000 into a program meant to help startups and entrepreneurs further their technological goals.

Through the Manitoba Technology Accelerator (MTA) program, nine companies specializing in medical devices, functional foods and nutraceuticals, and information and communications technologies have been supported within the past year.

“While good ideas can come from anywhere, we know the ideas that come from Manitoba succeed because of the unmatched support organizations like the Manitoba Technology Accelerator provide to get these ideas off the ground,” said Jobs and the Economy Minister Kevin Chief.

The province’s funding to the non-for-profit group will be over two years for support of business mentoring, coaching, networking and investment.
