The Assiniboine Park Zoo is making it cheaper for visitors to check out its many exhibits.
Beginning April 1 — and on the first Tuesday of every month — adult, senior and youth visitors will pay $12 to enter the zoo. Children three and older will be $10, while those under three will be admitted free.
“We’re committed to ensuring that the Assiniboine Park Zoo is an accessible destination for all Manitobans,” said Lorne Perrin, VP of park services and earned revenue for the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “It’s clear that these types of promotions are very popular and that’s why we’ve decided to offer a regular monthly discount day at the zoo.”
The zoo says it’s making the change after a successful $10 Tuesday promotion when the Journey to Churchill opened last July.
The zoo is also extending summer hours on a trial basis until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout July.
The Assiniboine Park Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spring/summer hours start Good Friday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
