Slurpee Lovers Get Their Fill at ‘Bring Your Own Cup Day’

March 21, 2015 8:05 AM CDT | News

Winnipeg Slurpee fans got their fill on Friday when 7-Eleven opened up the flood gates for Bring Your Own Slurpee Cup Day.

Buckets, coolers, plastic helmets and even an empty fish tank served as receptacles for the sugary treat.

Containers had to be no more than 26cm in diameter, water tight, clean and hygienic. The cost for filling your own cupwas $1.49.

The one-day Slurpee promotion ran at stores across Canada. And yes, Winnipeg still remains the Slurpee Capital of the World.
