The city has temporarily closed the Assiniboine river walk from the Osborne Bridge to the Main Street Bridge.
Due to the rise in the river level, the walkway will remain closed to pedestrians until further notice.
Light standards along the Assiniboine river walk have also been temporarily removed in order to prevent potential damage from river ice during the spring break-up.
When conditions permit, the city will re-open the walkway and re-install the light standards.
