Winnipeg police have arrested a man they say used a 17-year-old girl to peddle prostitution services.
The investigation began last December after the man communicated with two girls, aged 13 and 17, on social media.
The elder teen was advertised as an escort on a website in mid-November and used the suspect’s home to provide sexual services for approximately two weeks.
The same month, the man befriended the 13-year-old and discussed the use of alcohol and illegal drugs. The two planned to meet, but never did. Police say the communication was in contravention of a court order preventing the man from communicating with a person under the age of 16.
Kevin John Rose, 42, of Winnipeg faces several charges and was arrested on Friday at a provincial facility where he was being held on previous charges.
He remains in custody.
