Gimli Woman Arrested After Man Shot in Home

RCMP Crest LogoA woman from the RM of Gimli is in custody after a man was shot in a house Sunday.

Gimli RCMP said they arrived at the house at about 11:30 p.m. where they found a man, 57,  suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital. The woman was arrested at the scene without incident, say police.

RCMP said the man was shot over a domestic dispute.

Carol Lambert, 57, faces charges of attempted murder, careless use of a firearm and pointing a firearm. She will appear in a Winnipeg court on Wednesday.

The name of the victim will not be released, added RCMP.
