Red River College is hoping to give those with electric vehicles a boost.
The college unveiled a Level 3 car charger Wednesday, capable of charging an electric vehicle up to 80 per cent in 15 to 30 minutes.
“With the installation of this new charger, we continue to play a leading role in Manitoba’s green transportation future,” said David Rew, RRC interim president and CEO.
“This rapid charging station is another key element in our Mobility from Green Energy Initiative and a logical next step in our vehicle technology research program.”
The charger is free to whomever would like to use it, so long as people register their vehicles and agree to participate in a study when asked.
