The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed veteran infielder Brad Boyer for the 2015 season.
Boyer, 31, played last season with Class AA New Britain of the Eastern League in the Minnesota Twins system. In 79 games, he hit .246 with 26 RBI and 14 stolen bases.
“He has a lot of experience and versatility, both offensively and defensively,” manager Rick Forney said. “He had two huge seasons in our league in the past.
Boyer was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 13th round of the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft.
The Goldeyes now have 22 players signed for the 2015 season, including 11 pitchers and 11 position players.
