Dog food donations are desperately being sought by Manitoba Underdogs Rescue for the animals in their care.
The organization says it needs food to feed the 29 dogs it cares for, along with six newborn kittens.
“Often dogs in our care are malnourished, injured, ill, or have been through a traumatic experience. We require high quality food to help build up their health and get these dogs ready for adoption,” said Manitoba Underdogs Rescue executive director Jessica Hansen.
During the month of April, Sunova Credit Union will be holding a fundraising campaign for Manitoba Underdogs Rescue. People are encouraged to drop by any of their 11 branches to make a donation to the rescue, or drop off high quality dog or puppy food. Food donations are also being accepted at The Dog Loft (245 Marion Street in Winnipeg).
Preferred food brands for donation are listed at manitobaunderdogs.org/barkbank.
