April 10, 2015 10:50 AM | News

RCMP Crest LogoA 47-year-old Winnipeg man has died after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 6.

The collision happened Monday evening in the RM of Woodlands north of Stonewall, Manitoba. RCMP say at around 9:30 p.m., an eastbound car exited a parking lot and into the path of a northbound car.

The two people in the northbound vehicle — a 39-year-old man and his 15-year-old male passenger from Ashern — suffered minor injuries. The man driving the eastbound vehicle was taken to hospital in Winnipeg for his injuries and later died.

Police say it appears the lone driver of the second vehicle wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Alcohol is not considered a factor.

The name of the deceased isn’t being released.
