Winnipeg Man Dies Following Assault in Bus Shelter

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — Police are investigating the city’s fourth homicide of 2015 after an assault Friday morning.

Police say just before 6:30 a.m., a 37-year-old man was found in a bus shelter in the area of Main Street and Pioneer Avenue. The victim had been assaulted and was transported to hospital in unstable condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Myles Monias of Winnipeg.
