An upcoming fancy downtown cocktail party (politicos will get the reference) will raise funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba.
The Come One, Come All Gala on May 9 will feature headlining escape artist Dean Gunnarson, the highflying, high-energy “nouveau-circus” acrobatics of Circus Spectacle, with Dan and Kim Craig, as well as comedian and ringmaster Big Daddy Tazz, entertainment for all ages, a balloon raffle, and other special guests.
“Delta Winnipeg Ballroom is being transformed into a circus event like no other and we are excited and honoured to be able to top this up with world renowned escape artist, Dean Gunnarson. With this event and Manitoban’s continued generous support, we can help turn kids frowns upside down and help them feel like they can do anything too,” said Jerry Maslowsky, CEO of Variety, the Children’s Charity.
Gunnarson is a native of Onanole, Manitoba and has dedicated his life to performing escapes all across the world. He is currently in a reality series called “Escape or Die” on OLN. It premieres Tuesday, April 14 at 8 p.m. CT.
Variety celebrates 37 years with the gala, having touched the hearts of more than 800,000 children throughout the province since its inception.
Individual tickets are $225. Proceeds stay in Manitoba and help support health, champion ability and nurture development in children and makes a direct impact on their lives.
