Saskatchewan Mountie Charged with Drunk Driving in Manitoba

RCMP Crest LogoRCMP in Manitoba have charged one of their own with impaired driving following a traffic stop on Highway 2 in April 3.

Police pulled over the speeding vehicle in Treherne, Manitoba at around midnight and noticed the driver showed signs of impairment. A breathalyzer test at the Portage la Prairie RCMP detachment showed the Saskatchewan-based officer was higher than the legal limit.

David Collings, 43, of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, will appear in Portage court on May 11. He is currently on administrative duties.
