Former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Milt Stegall is leading a pack of thousands for this year’s MS Walk at The Forks.
The current TSN CFL analyst is aiming to raise $5,000 through MSWalks.ca leading up to the May 3 event.
“I love Winnipeg. The Blue Bombers gave me the opportunity for a great career and it’s such a pleasure giving back to the community that gave me so much,” Stegall said in a release.
New this year, the event will add a “fundraising on the go” component with a new mobile app. Features include instant messaging with teammates, a status checker on funds raised, and the ability to ask for donations through connected social media pages.
The MS Walk offers two routes, a 2.5 km and 5 km route which cross the Esplanade Riel bridge and through St. Boniface, ending back at The Forks.
