The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-acquired right-handed pitcher Matt Jackson from the Laredo Lemurs for future considerations.
Manager Rick Forney says the is pleased to have Jackson join the team again for the 2015 season.
“We’ve been working really hard to add another starting pitcher to our already deep starting rotation. Matt’s coming off a really big season for us last year and we’re going to need him to give us a repeat performance,” Forney said.
Jackson, 27, was originally traded to Laredo on February 21. In 21 starts for the Goldeyes last season, he went 11-7 with a 4.18 ERA and logged 120.2 innings pitched.
During the past two seasons, Jackson has made 28 appearances for the Goldeyes, including 27 starts. He has a 14-7 record and 4.06 ERA in those games.
The Goldeyes now have 27 players signed for the 2015 season, including 14 pitchers and 13 position players.
