Man Charged with Recording Children Changing in St. Vital Home

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have charged a 53-year-old man with possessing and making child pornography out of his St. Vital home.

Police allege the suspect hid a video camera in the bathroom of his home to record visitors changing into their swimwear to use his backyard pool. The incidents took place over the span of a seven-year period, from 2007 to 2014.

Police discovered the child pornography after seizing a large quantity of storage devices in a July 2014 raid.

In total, 13 victims were involved, 11 of which were between the ages of eight and 13-years-old.

The victims haven’t been identified.

The man faces 13 counts of voyeurism, and 11 counts of making, printing, publishing or possessing child pornography.

Police are continuing to investigate.
