WINNIPEG — Folklorama has elected a new board of directors for the annual multicultural summer festival.
“It is my honour and privilege to have the opportunity to lead Folklorama’s board of directors,” said new Folklorama president Zaleena Salaam. “The passion that our board and members have for Folklorama’s mission has enabled our Festival to grow from a one-time event in 1970 to the largest and longest running multicultural festival of its kind in the world.”

This year’s Folklorama is August 2-15, featuring 43 pavilions and 20,000 volunteers.
