The Manitoba Law Courts complex will give the public a different perspective inside this weekend during Law Day.
On Sunday from noon to 3:30 p.m., visitors can observe mock trials, a special sitting of Citizenship Court, and debates in English and French presented by senior high school students. Tours of the law courts complex will be held every 10 minutes. Demonstrations by a drug detection dog and handler will be held at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Display booths by more than 20 law-related agencies will also be present.
Law Day is being put on by the Canadian Bar Association and all of its provincial branches to celebrate the anniversary of the enactment of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
