The union representing Winnipeg Transit employees has rejected the latest offer of settlement from the City of Winnipeg.

The city and Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1505, which represents drivers and maintenance workers, will continue to try and work out a deal. Further negotiations are scheduled and no bus service will be affected as talks take place.

Winnipeg Transit carries more than 130,000 riders each weekday and employs approximately 1,100 bus operators and about 250 maintenance staff.
