Dondrea Erauw (HANDOUT)

Emerging Manitoba musicians will have the guidance of veterans in the business during a summer songwriting camp.

The Manitoba Music Summer Songwriter Retreat runs July 5-8 and will combine co-writing opportunities with creative and business mentorship, connecting industry heavy-hitters with up-and-coming Manitoba talent to strengthen their songwriting chops through collaboration.

The retreat will take place in a tranquil cabin setting in the Whiteshell. Mentors making the trip include Los Angeles-based songwriter Andy Stochansky, Anthem Entertainment/SRO Management’s Tyler Tasson, Instinct Entertainment’s Dondrea Erauw, and the general manager of SOCAN Los Angeles, Chad Richardson.

Manitoba artists of all genres interested in attending can contact Roland Deschambault at training@manitobamusic.com or (204) 975-5188 for further details, or can apply online. The deadline for submissions is May 14, 2015.
