WINNIPEG — Motorcyclists in Manitoba will have new insurance coverage options beginning on Monday.

Manitoba Public Insurance, through dialogue with the Coalition of Manitoba Motorcycle Groups, will roll out rental vehicle insurance, extension loss of use, excess value coverage, and new and leased vehicle protection extension insurance.

“The new products will provide motorcycle owners with greater peace of mind and added convenience in the event of a collision. This is a positive step forward for motorcycle owners in our province,” said Ward Keith of MPI.

Brian Segal, president of the CMMG, said motorcyclists will now have extension insurance products on par with those of automobiles.

“CMMG is pleased to have been instrumental in making them available for motorcyclists.”

Coverage is available through any Manitoba Autopac agent.
