A home in the village of Binscarth, Manitoba was destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded at around 4 p.m. to find the structure fully engulfed.
A school about a block away from the home was evacuated as a precaution due to strong north winds. All evening activities were also cancelled.
No other properties were damaged as a result of the fire, which took about two-and-a-half hours to put out.
The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner continues to investigate.
