A Moveable Feast tour (DOWNTOWNWINNPEGBIZ.COM)
The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ is expanding the number of tours offered this year to highlight the core’s best restaurants, patios, bike routes and breakfast spots.
Up from just 10 last year, the BIZ will do 50 tours from June to September on foot and by bike.
“These tours help us show off the city in an authentic, intimate way,” said Stefano Grande, executive director of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ. “We get to meet the participants, create a lasting impression and actually show them what’s going on downtown, and encourage them to return again and again.”
New this year, the BIZ will host a tour aimed specifically at finding the best breakfast spots called “The Breakfast Club,” and another for beer-drinkers called “Tap In.”
Besides highlighting the best hotspots, a newly-hired tour guide, staff and volunteers will point out the history, green space, architecture and hidden gems along the way.
