3 Arrested in Mace Attack, Shooting on Manitoba First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoTwo men and a teen from Fairford First Nation have been arrested after a bear-macing and shooting on Saturday.

RCMP responded just before 12:30 p.m. to a report of a macing just before they received another report of a shooting at the same location.

A 21-year-old man was sprayed with bear mace, while a 34-year-old man was shot in the lower body. He was taken to hospital where he was treated and released. A 23-year-old man was also shot, but wasn’t injured.

Police later located two men, aged 18 and 25, and a 16-year-old male. They remain in custody and charges are pending.

RCMP also seized weapons and bullet casings.
