WINNIPEG — The pieces are being assembled for LEGO to open up a store at Polo Park Shopping Centre.

The Denmark-based toy manufacturer teased its plans last month when job positions were posted and began making the social media rounds.

On Monday, officials from LEGO and the mall confirmed the news.

“Polo Park is constantly evolving as the premier retail destination in Manitoba,” said Deborah Green, general manager of Polo Park. “We offer the most dynamic selection of first-to-market and unique retailers for our shoppers and are so excited to welcome The LEGO store to Winnipeg and to our family of retailers at Polo Park.”

The store is expected to open later this summer on the newly-added wing on the second floor.
