Boys and Girls Clubs of WinnipegYouth with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg will celebrate artwork created through a year-long arts program.

Through a $20,000 Winnipeg Foundation grant, youth attended weekly arts programming in partnership with Art City and Graffiti Art Programming Inc.

“As a result, our youth have created some imaginative pieces while building on aspects of healthy development such as self-expression, accomplishment, and communication,” said Ron Brown, president and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg.

Youth also participated in a giant game of ‘telephone,’ sending messages in the form of drawings, rap lyrics, and videos to each other. The artwork travelled across all Boys and Girls Clubs sites, creating a city-wide artistic dialogue.

The artwork will be unveiled at Graffiti Art Programming, 109 Higgins Avenue, between 6-8 p.m. tonight.
