WINNIPEG — A man already serving time behind bars has been charged for a bank robbery dating back nearly six years.
A bank in the 900 block of Henderson Highway was robbed on October 5, 2009 when a man armed with a weapon made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Evidence seized at the scene was later submitted for DNA testing. On March 24, 2015, the major crimes unit was able to identify a suspect.
Police arrested Matthew Roman Joseph Harling, 27, at a provincial facility on May 11, where he was incarcerated on an unrelated matter.
He has been charged with robbery and returned to custody.
