Winnipeg Police Investigate Two Weekend Homicides

Winnipeg Police CrestWINNIPEG — Homicide investigators have been kept busy this May long weekend, probing two separate homicides in the city.

On Saturday, police were called to the 800 block of Alexander Avenue at around 11 p.m. for a report of a man having been stabbed. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Milton Brian Richard, 35, of Winnipeg.

On Sunday just after 1:30 a.m., police were called to the 400 block of Tremblay Street to check on the wellbeing of a woman.

The victim was located deceased when officers arrived.

No arrests have been made in either case. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
