WINNIPEG — The Assiniboine Park Zoo has welcomed a new baby musk ox and two snow leopard cubs into its care.

The ox was born May 15 and is currently on exhibit in Journey to Churchill for the public to see. The zoo also saw two snow leopard cubs born the same day, which are off exhibit with their mother for the time being.

“It’s certainly been an exciting week here at the zoo,” said Dr. Chris Enright, head of veterinary services at Assiniboine Park Zoo.

“All of the newborns are healthy and happy. It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful weekend and the perfect time for people to visit the zoo and meet the new musk ox.”

Photos of the new baby animal arrivals were not released.

The zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
