A single-vehicle crash on Provincial Road 384 has claimed the life of a Moose Lake man.
At around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, RCMP responded to the scene approximately 32 km west of Moose Lake, Manitoba to find a minivan resting on its roof in the south ditch. Police say it appeared the van had flipped more than one.
Two men were ejected from the van, with a 52-year-old man being pronounced deceased on scene.
A 26-year-old man was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries and remains in stable condition. Two other people — a 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman — were taken to hospital by a passerby before police arrived. The man was released from hospital, while the woman remains in stable condition.
RCMP say everyone in the van was from Moose Lake.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision and at least two of the people were not wearing seatbelts.
The name of the deceased isn’t being released.
