WINNIPEG — A motorhome that caught fire Tuesday afternoon in St. Boniface luckily didn’t lead to injuries, but did cause significant damage.
Fire crews were called to the 100 block of Hampshire Bay at around 1:30 p.m. to find the motorhome — parked in a driveway — completely engulfed in flames.
Black smoke could be seen billowing into the sky after neighbours say they heard two loud explosions.
Siding melted on one of the nearby homes, causing an estimated $40,000 in damage. Estimated damage to the motorhome is $20,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
