The Winnipeg Folk Festival has revealed its much-anticipated day schedule for this year’s summer festival at Birds Hill Park.
From July 9-12, 40 workshops and 68 concerts will take place on nine daytime stages.
“We are one of the few festivals in North America that offers these kinds of workshops,” said artistic director Chris Frayer. “Artists from around the world join together on one stage to share their stories and songs, offering audiences truly unique and magical musical experiences.”
Highlights of the day entertainment include the Baroque Folk British and Celtic workshop on Friday, While My Guitar Gently Weeps on Saturday and the the gospel workshop on Big Bluestem on Sunday.
Day tickets start at $63 and full festival tickets start at $130 through Ticketmaster or WinnipegFolkFestival.ca.
