The Winnipeg Humane Society has named Javier Schwersensky as its new CEO.
Schwersensky, who mostly comes from the Manitoba Museum, joins the WHS with more than 15 years of executive experience, in both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Javier to the WHS,” said Richard Pope, chair of the WHS board of directors. “We’re confident that his enthusiasm, energy, and years of experience will help us achieve our goal to help the thousands of animals we see every year.”
Schwersensky also previously worked in marketing and sales at Pollard Banknote. He studied communications at the University of Buenos Aires, and received his Masters in Corporate Communications at the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales in Buenos Aires.
