A 29-year-old Winnipeg man is recovering in hospital after being hit by a SUV on June 6.
RCMP say the man was speaking with the driver of the vehicle in Grunthal, Manitoba at around 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle suddenly sped off. The man was still holding on to the SUV at the time and suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle then fled the scene.
Scott Martens, 31, from Grunthal, has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and failing to remain at the scene of a collision. He has been released on a promise to appear in Winnipeg court on July 13.
