The Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired infielder Kyle Brandenburg from the Ottawa Champions of the Can-Am League.
The deal for the 24-year-old rookie player is in exchange for future considerations.
Brandenburg hit .146 with an RBI in 16 games with Ottawa this season and .242 with two RBI in 24 games with the Laredo Lemurs last season.
To make the room the roster, the Goldeyes have released left-handed pitcher James Woods.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their roster, including 11 pitchers and 11 position players.
