A Winnipeg man is a millionaire after playing family members’ birthdates on a recent Lotto Max ticket.
Chi Vinh La purchased his ticket for the May 22 draw at the Real Canadian Superstore at 2132 McPhillips Street.
“My eyes don’t always work that well. So I took the ticket home and asked my son to check the numbers on the computer,” he said after recalling his win, which he thought was for a measly $100,000.
He says he likes to play Lotto Max almost every week, and every now and then will play his own numbers.
He plans on using the winnings to do some travelling, help out with his children’s education and provide for the less fortunate.
