Man in Stable Condition After St. James Shooting

Winnipeg Police CrestShell casings and evidence markers litter a St. James parking lot after an early morning shooting on Wednesday.

Winnipeg police taped off an area in the 2700 block of Portage Avenue at around 5 a.m. near Legends Restaurant and Sports Bar.

Police say a man had been shot in the upper body and attended a hospital on his own accord shortly after. He is listed in stable condition.

A possible bullet hole was also located in the wall of the nearby Premier Chiropractic Centre.

No further details are available and police are continuing with their investigation.
