Manitoba Man Killed in Ultralight Aircraft Crash

RCMP Crest LogoA 59-year-old pilot from the RM of Hanover has died in an ultralight aircraft crash in southern Manitoba.

The plane crashed on farmland north of Highway 205 East at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. RCMP responded in the RM of DeSalaberry, where they found the man deceased. He was the only occupant of the aircraft.

Foul play is not suspected and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating.

The man’s name isn’t being released.
