If dad is an animal fan, why not head out to Assiniboine Park Zoo on Sunday?

The zoo is slashing admission to half price on Father’s Day, June 21. All dads will receive 50 percent off the regular admission price at the gate between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“The zoo is the perfect place for a Father’s Day outing for the entire family,” said Dr. Brian Joseph, director of zoological operations. “It’s a wonderful time of year to enjoy the outdoors and learn about our many amazing animals.”

Joseph said the zoo has many new additions, including the baby musk ox and two baby pronghorns.

The Australian Walkabout, a season exhibit where visitors can walk amongst kangaroos and emus, is also open as well as the Zoo Loo Kangaroo ride.
