WINNIPEG — Manitoba Underdogs Rescue is in desperate need of dog food donations to feed more than 20 puppies in its care.
“We’ve recently taken in a few pregnant moms, who have birthed some adorable puppies,” said executive director Jessica Hansen. “These moms often come with lots of unknowns, including the number of puppies that they’re carrying. Right now we’ve got over 20 little guys that need to eat.”
The rescue says while monetary donations are important, most of the money received usually goes to pay veterinary bills, and purchase the medications the dogs need to regain their strength.
Food donations can be dropped off at The Dog Loft, 245 Marion Street, or e-mail supplies@manitobaunderdogs.org to find more locations throughout the city.
A list of Manitoba Underdogs’ preferred food bands is listed on their website.
